CI Insertion Depth Estimator

A simple calculator to estimate the angular insertion depth of a cochlear implant electrode array for a given cochlear size and electrode array length. Please refer to [Publication 1] and [Publication 2] for more details.

Step 1) Please specify the diameter of the cochlear basal turn first

Cochlear diameter: 8.0 mm



Step 2a) Estimate the angular insertion depth for a given CI electrode array length

CI electrode array length: 28.0 mm

Step 2b) Estimate the CI electrode array length for a specific angular insertion depth

Targeted angular insertion depth: 540 degrees
