PhD thesis defense Ioannis Papathanail
Congratulations to Ioannis Papathanail for successfully defending his PhD thesis “Machine learning-based system for dietary assessment” on 26 June 2024! As part of the AI in Health and Nutrition lab, Ioannis has investigated ways to use AI technology in mobile health applications to promote dietary monitoring and assessment as a cornerstone for a healthier and more balanced lifestyle, but also to avoid malnutrition or adiposity or deal with conditions such as diabetes.
