Heart Valve Society Poster Prize

Karoline-Marie Bornemann and her team from the Cardiovascular Engineering lab won the poster prize competition at the Annual Meeting of the Heart Valve Society in Boston, USA, on 19 February 2024. Her research "Investigation of sinus washout and platelet activation in transcatheter valve thrombosis patients" investigated a possible correlation between larger aortic dimensions and transcatheter heart valve thrombosis (THVT), and won in the category 'Pathology, Mechanisms, and Outcomes'.
