Amith Kamath wins Falling Walls Fribourg

With his project to improve the lives of patients with glioblastoma through AI-enhanced faster radiotherapy onset, Amith Kamath, PhD at the Medical Image Analysis lab, has won the Falling Walls Competition in Fribourg. He will represent Switzerland at the Falling Walls Science Summit and Final in Berlin in November. The group is investigating ways to automate contouring of brain tumors and organs at risk as well as dose planning to significantly shorten the time from diagnosis to treatment from currently 2 weeks to "instant radiotherapy".
